Our Philosophy is Cake for Cake Holes No Cake for A-holes
If you are looking for a floral cake colored to match your shoes, we are not your bakery. Our traditional Southern Cakes speak for themselves. They make magnificent presentations, and feed an army. Leftovers should be eaten within 2-3 days to insure freshness. Of course, this is only in the unlikely event of leftovers. Our cakes have a habit of being devoured, instead of people just having a taste and commenting on how pretty the decorations are.
Our History
Susan and Ron, the CakeBabies, met on a crisp spring day in 1999. Passionate about each other, and the food they made. They embarked on a culinary journey that would lead them through the greatest cuisines on earth.
Baking evolved from a passion to an obsession and they began collecting recipes for cakes from all over the south. Relatives, Church Cookbooks, Libraries, no stone or Grandmother was left unturned. The best recipes were tested and re-tested. We made changes to enhance flavor or texture. Accepting only the best results to become a CakeBabies cake.
